CUPE Local 65 Website goes live

It is my pleasure to welcome all my fellow members of CUPE 65 to our newly created website. It is the Executive board’s hope that this website will help to improve communication, functionality and solidarity for our local.

I would like to take a moment to recognize that this website would not be possible without the utilization of CUPE’s vast resources, and the expert knowledge of Brother Ian Clysdale, without whom, this website would still be just a wish and not reality.

The website has been built to try and provide the members with the basic information that members ask about frequently, or may need on a regular basis. For example:

1. All units collective agreements
2. Commonly requested forms, such as grievance forms, and the steward handbook have links.
3. The names of all union officers within our local, as well as the emails for the Executive board and the Unit chair for each unit.

We will strive going forward to update the website frequently with educational opportunities as well as agenda items for upcoming meetings, and important events for our local, so please stop by often.

The executive has asked myself, Ryan Flamand, your current Vice President, to oversee the website creation and maintenance, I look for forward to hearing from members whom have suggestions for improvements or additions to the website, and would encourage that you attend the local’s monthly meetings and bring these suggestions to the floor.

I take great pride in being able to provide this website to the local.

In Solidarity,

Ryan Flamand
Vice President CUPE 65
