Amendments Submitted to National

On September 25/19 at the general membership meeting the amended bylaws were presented to the membership as well as the rational for the changes as outlined in the letter from CUPE National’s office. After the amendments were presented time was given to answer any questions and concerns the membership had. A vote was conducted on the acceptance of the bylaw’s adoption by the local, this vote was unanimous. This evening the bylaws were submitted to the national office in Kenora, and they will be forwarded by them to the National President’s office.

Assuming the bylaws are returned to the local approved by the National President’s office, the Executive has resolved to have booklets made up for the bylaws, as the union has done in the distant past, so that we can ensure all Officers have a copy. We will also be putting the bylaws on this website so that any member may have readily accessible access to the bylaws at any given time.
